Welcome to AKPCTA , 'The All Kerala Private College Teachers' Association'. The Central Office of the AKPCTA is at Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the state of Kerala .

AKPCTA is the biggest organization of private college teachers of Kerala having a membership of over 3500 teachers in its fold. Established in 1958, the Association has a history of four decades of relentless struggles for the RIGHTS of teachers- for living wages, humane working conditions, security of service & for dignity of the teaching profession. Of late, AKPCTA has been quite active on the academic front too

The jurisdiction of the AKPCTA extends to all private colleges situated within the state of Kerala . The aims and objectives of the organization are:

• To promote a corporate feeling and the sprit of co-operation among its members;
• To further the cause of higher education;
• To help create and organize public opinion on questions of higher education;
• To encourage and organize the study of educational problems with special reference to teaching at the university level;
• To establish and maintain among its members the right standard of profession conduct and work;
• To secure to private college teachers fair and equitable conditions of service and better social and economic status;
• To secure to private college teachers adequate representation in the legislative, executive and advisory bodies of the state,
