As a service organization of college teachers, the service cell constitutes one of the most significant parts of the AKPCTA. The first and foremost priority of the service cell is to resolve the issues related to the service pay based on existing rules and laws. To make the members aware about the change in the laws of Universities, UGC and KSR are the responsibilities of the service cell.
The work of the service cell in this year commenced on the 20th of August. Dr. N Pramod was elected as the Convenor, Dr. Muhammed Salim as the Chairman and Dr. Sushama Raj and Dr. Harikrishnan as joint convenors. A state level service cell which includes all the district convenors was formed. The first priority was the 7th UGC pay revision. The cell has also actively taken over various issues regarding the service of the members during the time period. Some of the most significant and proud feats of AKPCTA and the service cell include getting DDO status for aided principals to change salary bills directly from treasuries and professorship for aided college teachers.
